Queen Anne Celebrates Almost One Year at Sea Offering Guests a Unique Journey Through Historic Ports and Modern Comforts While Embarking on Record-Breaking Global Expeditions

Queen Anne is nearing the milestone of one year in service following its launch in April 2024. As the two hundred forty-ninth addition to Cunard’s distinguished fleet, this vessel masterfully fuses the enduring elegance of traditional ocean liners with modern luxury, reinforcing Cunard’s leadership in the premium cruise market.

Crafted for Comfort and Elegance at a Renowned Italian Shipyard

Built at one of Italy’s foremost shipyards, the Queen Anne was designed with an emphasis on spacious, elegant accommodations and modern amenities, comfortably hosting up to three thousand guests. The ship’s design combines timeless maritime style with the latest innovations in guest comfort, creating a truly exceptional onboard environment.

After finishing construction, the vessel sailed without passengers to its homeport in Southampton to prepare for its commercial debut.

A Captivating Maiden Voyage Through Spain and Portugal

Queen Anne’s inaugural cruise departed Southampton on May 3, 2024. Over the course of seven nights, passengers enjoyed immersive visits to the coastal cities of La Coruña in Spain and Lisbon in Portugal. These ports offered a rich tapestry of culture, history, and scenic beauty, setting a remarkable tone for the ship’s future voyages. The journey concluded with a return to Southampton, marking a successful launch.

A Traditional Naming Ceremony in a City Steeped in Maritime Heritage

Soon after the maiden voyage, Queen Anne embarked on a special christening cruise featuring an official naming ceremony in Liverpool. The city, celebrated for its deep maritime roots and longstanding connection to Cunard, provided the perfect setting to welcome the ship to the fleet, honoring a proud legacy while celebrating new beginnings.

Seasonal Itineraries Highlighting Global Destinations

Throughout its first season, Queen Anne sailed a variety of itineraries departing from Southampton. Travelers explored Northern Europe’s historic cities and stunning natural landscapes, the sun-soaked shores and rich history of the Mediterranean, and the vibrant culture and unique geology of the Canary Islands.

Embarking on Its First Global Expedition

January 2025 marked Queen Anne’s debut world cruise, an extraordinary 107-night journey encompassing thirty ports in eighteen countries. Guests experienced an unparalleled array of global cultures, environments, and historic sites while enjoying Cunard’s renowned luxury, entertainment, and hospitality.

Exploring Northern Europe on a Baltic Cruise

Following the world voyage, Queen Anne returned to Southampton in late April 2025 to resume seasonal sailings. A standout itinerary includes a fourteen-night Baltic cruise, calling on captivating destinations such as Copenhagen, Visby, Tallinn, Helsinki, Aarhus, and Hamburg. Each city offers a unique blend of architectural beauty, rich culture, and scenic surroundings.

Journeying Through the Mediterranean and Greek Islands

The ship’s schedule also features a nineteen-night Mediterranean and Greek Islands cruise. Departing and returning to Southampton, this voyage visits seven diverse ports: Cádiz and Malaga in Spain, Messina in Sicily, Heraklion on Crete, Piraeus near Athens, Kusadasi in Turkey, and the iconic Santorini. Guests enjoy a blend of ancient history, spectacular coastlines, and authentic regional flavors.

Anticipating a Second World Cruise in 2026

In early 2026, Queen Anne is slated to undertake its second world cruise, broadening its global itinerary. This journey will cover a diverse range of regions including North America, the Caribbean, the Far East, the South Pacific, and Africa, offering guests the opportunity to explore myriad diverse traditions and scenery complemented by elegant lodging and outstanding hospitality.

Setting a New Standard in Luxury Ocean Travel

Over its first year, Queen Anne has exemplified Cunard’s ability to blend tradition with innovation. Its elegant interiors, curated global itineraries, and attentive crew have created an unmatched cruising experience. As Queen Anne continues to navigate international waters, it carries forward the proud heritage of ocean travel while forging a bold path for the future of luxury cruising, promising unforgettable experiences for all aboard.
